Hello! My name is Casey and I am so glad you are here! I serve as the Minister of Discipleship at Mosaic Church in Memphis, TN, where my husband and I have laid down roots in the heart of Midtown with our son Henry and Goldendoodle Bailey. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Discipleship from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018 and have served in ministry in various capacities over the last 11 years both within the local church and alongside the local church through campus ministry and missions mobilization.

I came to faith in Jesus at a young age but it was while I was in college that my faith came alive in a real and tangible way as someone took me under their wing and established a discipleship relationship with me where we read scripture together, prayed for one another, and encouraged each other to pursue Jesus and to have eyes open to where God was at work around me and how to join Him in that work through the power of the Holy Spirit.

This discipleship relationship laid the foundation for my own life in what it means to be a disciple. And if I’m honest, it’s the foundational piece that I believe is most lacking across churches in America today, regardless of denomination. I believe that the abundant life Jesus promised is not limited to our eternal life in Glory but is available to us as we walk with Him daily and obediently lay down our lives for others. The disconnect I’ve seen among church culture is that many Christians have never had the type of discipleship relationship I mentioned and simply don’t know how to walk with Jesus and lay down their lives.

I believe it’s time to get back to the basics.

And I’m going to do my best to provide content and resources to encourage and equip believers of all ages to be disciples who make disciples.

I do this in a few ways :

I’m a story teller. I love taking the stories of Jesus in scripture and presenting them as a way to implore Christians forward in their relationship with Jesus and toward the life on mission that God is calling them. I do this through short and long form written content as well as through speaking/teaching opportunities in local churches and ministries. Has bible, will travel.

I’m a coach at heart and I am most filled up when meeting face to face and via all forms of technology to walk alongside individuals as they seek the Lord on next steps in moving toward the life on mission that God is calling them. I have coaching tools I’ve created over the years as well as received training in enneagram coaching. I am constantly adding more and more tools to my coaching toolbox.

All in all, I’m just a girl who loves the Lord, loves His word, and loves a good cup of coffee and I am most filled up when those loves collide around a table and we can enjoy community with one another.
