Oh Hey! I remember her!

In mid-May, our beloved Cayce – Henry’s “Bunny”, got married! (I mean – is she not the most beautiful bride you’ve ever seen??) Now listen I’ve planned weddings, I’ve attended weddings, I’m a married woman so I’m well versed in all things matrimony but let me tell you – I don’t know that I’ve ever had so much fun at a wedding.

It was partly because we were so happy to celebrate our friends, partly because our friends are SO MUCH FUN, and partly because I exited the venue for a bit to take Henry home to a babysitter.

We danced, we ate, we even had a Second Line where we followed a brass band around the venue NOLA style to end our celebration. It was the best night followed up with a late night hang out with precious friends around drinks and appetizers until way past our bedtime.

Cayce sent me this photo a few weeks ago and I giggled to myself and said, “Oh Hey! I remember her!”

Her being the girl in the photo – the girl who was surrounded by people who she loved, the girl celebrating the love and commitment of friends, the girl who loves to dance, the girl who loves to laugh, the girl who loves to be silly, the girl who had a babysitter, the girl who was not carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders.

Yeah, I remember her.

When we left Cayce’s wedding, Micah and I were debriefing all the things we loved about the night and we laughed about how much fun we had. I told Micah, “I forgot that I knew how to have that much fun.”

This is your friendly reminder to get that babysitter, turn up the music, break out the tambourine apparently, dance your little heart out, have some fun if for no other reason than to remind yourself that you still can.

Let your hair down, sister!

Have some fun today!
